The Stage |
|
The famous Wigwam stage has been
around since the last Rougham Tree Fair in 1989. It has been at Strawberry Fair every
year since then and has appeared at numerous festivals, fetes and
celebrations around East Anglia. The picture, left, is the smallest variation
of the stage, many years ago doing an “ unplugged” set with a P.A. of about
400 watts total. |
|
The stage has recently been subject
to major refurbishment and has come in various guises but still maintains all
of its original charm and character. The stage has a useful working area
in its smaller option. This is not cramped for rock bands of up to seven
persons with all their attendant amplifiers, drums, etc, and is good for a
choir of about twenty five. The picture, right is a larger set up
at Strawberry Fair in Cambridge this year with oceans of room and about 6k of
P.A.. |
|
It comes with a range of P.A. systems, one
of which will be perfect for your event. We are experienced in dealing with
all manner of music and musicians from classical to drum and bass; with
choirs, string quartets, folk, jazz, country, pop, rock, etc, etc. The picture, left, was a stage set up
for 2004 with about 4k of p.a. |
|
And we have all the necessary equipment to
do justice to them all. We have recently invested in a new lighting rig with
various effects. Strobes, bubbles etc. |
|
In its larger format the stage has generous
capacity for a small brass band ensemble and loads of space for bigger groups
where the singer needs loads of room to strut his stuff under canvas. The
picture, right, was Strawberry Fair ‘95 with a purpose built front covering
three separate stage areas each with its own P.A. of about 2k each. |
|
In its basic form the Wigwam arrives as a
trailer, unfolds and erects in not much more than a couple of hours. The
scenario opposite is our latest, larger, manifestation with the new front
awning. This was at Strawberry Fair where we extended the stage area with
extra staging on either side at the front. Without the extra staging the P.A.
speakers sit under cover either side. We have a small P.A. perfect for folk
festivals in this particular layout. |
|
The sound system comes in the van
which tows it, takes about the same amount of time to set up and can be
anything from 1000watts to 6000watts and have12, 24 or 36 channels on the
mixing desk. We are noted for the exceptional quality of our P.A. |
